On 29 December 2021, Lithuanian gas transmission system operator AB ‘‘Amber Grid“ and the National Energy Regulatory Council approved the new version of the AB ‘‘Amber Grid“ Rules for Natural Gas Transmission System Balancing (Rules). The new version of the Rules stipulates that from 1 March 2022, the trade notifications must be submitted no later than 30 minutes before the end of the gas day, therefore there is no possibility to revise the data after the end of the gas day. According to that, no previous day’s product remains. The gas exchange operator GET Baltic, in response to the changed Rules, initiated amendments to the Regulation of Trading on the Natural Gas Exchange (Regulation).
Please note that the amendments of the Regulation relate only to the changes of the Rules, applicable since 1 March 2022. In the new version of the Rules, the withdrawal of previous day product in Lithuanian market area has been made in accordance to the decision of the transmission system operator.
Please be informed that the last day when the previous day product will be available for trading in Lithuanian market area is 28 February 2022. There will be no possibility to trade the product of the previous day on 1 March 2022, with the delivery date 28 February 2022.
The Regulation has been amended as follows:
- The definition of the previous day product and the links with the previous day product have been waived;
- Adjusted trading hours for delivery periods in the daily market, waiving the previous day’s product, as well as equalizing the within day’s trading hours in all market areas to from 7:00 until 5:30 o’clock;
- The list of traded products in the Regulation has been shortened, waiving the previous day’s product.
The recast of Regulation will apply from 1 March 2022.
