Natural gas market operator GET Baltic in order to inform all the natural gas market participants and other interested parties about trading on the natural gas Exchange has announced Report of Trade on Natural Gas Exchange for the second quarter of 2017. The trade turnover of second quarter of 2017 was 3,177 MWh of natural gas with a value more than 60 thou. EUR. It is 1,563 MWh and 9,847 thou. EUR less than in Q2 2016. The weighted average price of fulfilled transactions in Q2 2017 was 18.89 EUR/MWh, which is 4.15 EUR/MWh higher compared to Q2 2016 when weighted average price of fulfilled transactions was 14.74 EUR/MWh.
Second quarter of 2017 was less active on the exchange than the comparative period in 2016. Market participants realized 167 transactions. Most transactions were executed in April – 75, 49 in May and 43 during June. Around 94% of all fulfilled transactions volume was executed in April – 3,000 MWh.
The lowest price of fulfilled transactions in the analysed period was 15.10 EUR/MWh while the highest price of fulfilled transactions was 19.55 EUR/MWh executed on May.
Participants of the Exchange most actively traded Previous day product. There where 116 fulfilled transactions with previous day product or 69% from all executed transactions.
The volume of orders to buy placed on the Exchange in Q2 2017 was 141 GWh, while the number of orders submitted to sell was 180 GWh.
