In January, 12% more transactions were made than in December, and trading volumes increased by 24% to 1.2 TWh of natural gas. More than half of the total volume traded on the exchange—643 GWh—was purchased at the Lithuanian trading area,” says GET Baltic CEO Giedrė Kurmė.
Throughout January, participants were active in placing orders. The volume of orders submitted by those buying gas amounted to 3.7 TWh and those wishing to sell gas amounted to 7.9 TWh. Last month, 55 participants placed orders on the Exchange.
